The first Holy Family Senior School – Podcast from Home episode is now available.
The first podcast features children from 3rd class who have done an amazing job. This episode includes music, singing, jokes, poetry and a lot more. Be sure to give it a listen.
Thank you to all of the children, parents and teachers who helped put this together.
We will be putting the call out to our 4th classes very soon so keep an eye on Aladdin and our Facebook page for details. For now please enjoy the 3rd Class Podcast from home.
I hope this message finds you all safe and well. I want to provide some clarity on how we will operate going forward.
From next Monday 30th March you child’s daily work will be sent to you via Aladdin. It will appear in the Homework icon. This icon is on your app now but empty until Monday.
For now use these links to find assigned work for each class.
Please do not worry about collecting books; workbooks are more crucial in Junior classes. Our teachers will attach very specific work (e.g. pages of maths, passages to read, questions etc.) from the books across the subject areas.
Please use a copy to record the work into. Please do not worry if you do not have a printer, the pupils can look at the work on the screen and write into this copy.
Each teacher will forward their school email address to you. You can ask a question or upload work and send it to them if you wish.
We understand parents may be overwhelmed in terms of the vast amount of online resources and websites that are available – The teachers will advise on a daily/weekly basis what is suitable and recommend a small number for you all to look at.
Most importantly, I want to repeat that this is a very difficult time for everybody and we totally understand that many homes face lots of varying challenges at present. Please only do what you can and remember all education is not academically orientated.
You all are doing a fantastic job in keeping your families safe and well. We want to help and support as much as possible. Let’s all work together to get though this difficult period.
Holy Family Senior School’s CD ‘Tomorrow’s A New Day’ is available to buy now. You can get your copy from Holy Family Senior School for €5, with all proceeds going to Teac Tom.
Following a successful launch night on Friday the 6th of March, the CD is now available for general sale.
The CD features performances from all of the children in the school as well as several performances by the staff choir.
Parents of children in the school can also buy the CD with a special cover designed by your child.
All proceeds go to the charity Teac Tom, which helps people affected by suicide. We would appreciate it if as many people as possible could support this very worthy cause.

Background Information
Back in term one, we chose songs with a positive message in an effort to promote positive mental health.
All classes and the staff took part in the project and began practicing their songs under the guidance of Mr. O Brien.
After Christmas, we recorded our songs and now our CD is finally ready to be launched.
Breaking News!!
Our launch night is set to be a spectacular event with special guestsand video messages from a variety of celebrities and stars.
As part of this great night, two classes from each of the school years will perform and show off all their immense talent.
We wish to take this opportunity to commend all pupils for their participation, we also wish we had the room for all classes to perform on the night but we feel confident that the lucky classes will represent their peers extremely well.
We are hoping that as many of the school community can come on the night to share in this fantastic experience and the CD will be on sale on the night, or the following week from the school for only five euros per copy.
All parents of every pupil in the school are invited to attend and we would appreciate greatly if you could spread the word for us within the community.
Attached is a promo video of the children performing a taste of the songs recorded.
We hope you enjoy!
Kind regards,
Ms. Brennan
